I have a basketcase Tri-Z. Every memorial day a guy that we've nicknamed "Trike Dude" brings like 8 ATC's to Black Mountain ORV. A couple years ago he had a CBR600F4 with a knobby up front and a banshee swingarm. Sick fast.....

I was thinking about saving some money and buying one of these because they are cheap. I was wondering how they compare to quads as far as stability/safety goes? Also, are the old honda 200cc ones good on the dunes, because that is what I would primarily use it for.

The 200X is a good all around Trike.

As for better or safer than a quad. Your only as safe as your ability.

I've rode, bikes, trikes and quads and I've found I like the trikes cause of the challenge.

Currently I own a 250X TRX Honda 4 wheeler, and the T3's I'll have this weekend.

If your a novice get a quad, if you want a bit more fun in the sand get a trike..

I had an 84 and an 85 Tecate-3 they are great machines. Parts are getting hard to find for them though, its a shame.

My only complaint about the T3 is the lack of a counterbalancer, the thing will rattle your fillings loose from the vibration

Ya teh counter balance is a issue. As for hard to find parts I've found a cross ref. list of parts I can use from KX dirt bikes and other Kawi machines..
