im actually in muskegon now... just got a new apartment. but i wouldnt mind anywhere like i said for training.. i just want to stay in muskegon thats all...

It makes a huge difference on where you live. Like I said, you have to live within a certain area to be on a specific department. IE: You can't be on Holton FD and live Apple and Getty area. It makes no sense for them to hire you.. Now if you lived Apple and Dangle area, and applied to Muskegon TWP that would would be feasable that you may be hired.

keep in mind... NOTHING happens fast of a FD.. If you do get hired.. its a hurry up and wait process. It can be really frustrating.

I know around here just to even be considered you need your FF 1&2 and you need to have your paramedic license.

we get payed well for being a payed on call department. i use the money as fun money and have a great retirement program through the city. its well worth the time.
