I had no idea...

how emotionally connected to pets one can become.

I had to put my first dog to sleep yesterday. Probably one of the most difficult choices to have to make.

A lot of people here met Casey (black lab on the left), tossed a ball or stick for her and commented on her demeanor .... she'll be missed.

I always lol'd at her small "grrrr" she would give kimber when she was trying to take casey's stick, and then my dog would get scared, then casey would feel bad and lick kimber.

poor puppah

I know how ya feel man i just put my dog Samson down on tuesday. He was 14 lost his eyesight, his hearing, lost alot of weight and would just pace and pace and pace.I'm a wreck. It was the hardest thing i have ever had to do and it's going to be a long road to get back to normal.

Sorry that you had to put her down but i'm sure you did it cuz she was in pain. she will always be there with you.

On another note she looks alot like Samson.

Sorry to hear guys. I've lost 3 dogs in my adult life, one which I had to put down. It's very tough.

Remember the good times.

Thanks for all the kind words .. even though she was very independent and low maintenance, there is still a void around here.

I cried like a little bitch when both of my dogs went.

I came home to find my cocker spaniel dead. That fucked me up for weeks. I'd come home after work everyday and the place seemed empty without him. He was the best.

The other one was 14. We had to put him down last month. He couldn't hold it together anymore. His mind was still sharp, but his body was completely shot. Couldn't walk, was pissing on himself.

I feel your pain. I put my Boo dog down about a month ago. I still find myself trying to step over him when I go into my bedroom at night.
