Default *SOLD* 1992 Explorer - NOW $300-

-SSOLD July 3rd-
Selling my Father-in-Law's explorer. Was his daily driver until the coolant started pouring out of it this week. Engine still starts and runs fine (he didn't run it too hot), looks like maybe around the water pump. He doesn't want to put any more money into it, so he asked me to put it up here.

1992, 4.0 V6, Auto, 4x4 works, but does clunk sometimes when engaging it, 170,000 miles, tires haven't got alot of life left, original shocks. He keeps his cars well maintained, interior looks pretty good (back seat barly used!). Rusty, but maybe someone could use a beater or parts. I thought maybe someone wants the axles and part out the rest.

EDIT PRICE, $300 OBO, but he does want to keep the battery. Can drive it onto a trailer, but like I said, it doesn't hold coolant, so shouldn't be run for too long.

Located in Kewadin, MI (49648), about 1/2 hour north of Traverse City on US 31.

Get ahold of me if you want more pics or any other questions.

sorry, too far to drive it as is, and we don't have a trailer to tow it. If you can find one, we'll help get it on the trailer...like I said, it runs well, just doesn't hold the coolant...if you want to stop every 5-10 miles to pour more coolant in, thats up to you.

I have suggested parting it, but we don't have a place to do it, or the time right now.

Someone has shown interest, but is trying to find a way to transport it.

not completely sure where the leak is and why. My father-in-law thinks its just a leak at the water pump. You can see it coming from the bottom driver's side, but not sure why or exactly where. I don't know anything about fords or explorers except that some like the axles, so I told him to let me see if anyone on here was interested.

Like I said, someone was interested, but was trying to find a way to get it 3+ hours away, so as of right now, its still officially available. Make an offer and we'll help get it on your trailer.

bump once more...its just sitting in his front yard with a "for sale" sign in it, he wants it GONE...if no one makes arrangements and gets it soon (like within a week or so), it'll get taken to the closest junk yard for scrap.

he want it gone by the end of next week, so if someone can come up with the money AND pick it up sometime this next week (won't be around this weekend), let me know, otherwise, its going to the yard.

thanks
