Default How many miles do you run a week?

I have been stuck in the mid 20's for about 3-4 weeks now (plus weight training).
Not sure if it is my work schedule or what.

I'm fat ... here, I'll share.

Honestly, that's good and I've been trying to muster up some motivation to get back into shape this summer .... otherwise the 3day is going to be a pita.

I used to do 7-10, plus another 7-10 on the elliptical, but I have been slacking lately.

No run. Slowly getting back into mountainbiking, probably about the same amount on wheels as you do on foot.

Currently, I'm working on my food intake; at 40 and where my career is at, I can't dedicate the time to exercise the way I need to stay in shape (unless you consider round a shape). I've been keeping my calorie intake at or below 1500 since May 30 and have dropped about 30 lbs.

I'd like to start running for the reason that it burns the most calories in the shortest time, but I still need to be lighter to take it easy on my knees.

I keep my food intake this low, but the beers are my problem. I can't seem to exercise enough to really loose the weight I need. I more or less just maintain.

I am in the maintian mode as well. I think it is b/c I work about 80 hours a week and live in a hotel 3 -4 nights a week. Tougher to eat well living out of a suit case.

I ran too the end of my Driveway this morning. I almost missed the garbage man.

I have been walking 2-3 miles a day though. It's amazing how much a little exercise makes you feel so much Better.

I am not out of a suit case but I work about the same amount of hours. Working that much and then going home to cook is tough. I know I should do it but most nights its so much more convenient to just pick something up. Which of course is never very good for you...

Fuck yeah it is. I have a two week trip coming up and I am not looking forward to eating. It'll be 14 days of 16 hour drudgery and picking up meals where you can. Luckily, I just have water and fruit for lunch, so that should be easy to keep on hand. Not looking forward to the group dinners.

As for beerz, I switched to light beer and cut my intake way back. Also, if I think I will have beer one day, I will subtract those calories from my "menu" so my net intake is still the same. I'll have two tonight, so that means no breakfast today and one less apple at lunch. Added benefit of drinking on a mostly empty stomach ftw.

We see how long this lasts before I break down and binge eat or murder someone buying icecream at the store.
