Default Knee MRI **now with pics!**

Just got MRI's done on both my knees..

I have a cd with a bunch of cool pictures... but I don't know what i'm looking at. haha.

kind of a pain trying to not move a muscle in your body for an hour

I've picked a handfull of each knee, anyone see anything I should be concerned with.

All of them here:

I've had my fair share of MRIs and can agree that it's a pain having to lay perfectly still for long periods of time. But CT scans are even more fun, especially when they inject you with contrast. I think I've now had 4 or 5 MRIs and at least 4 CT scans that I can think of. And not to mention countless Xrays.

yeah I've heard about the CT scans, I don't think that would be lots of fun with the injections and dye and stuff

this was my first MRI, wasn't worried about it, just didn't know what to expect...

I have had them all and I get to have the worst one yet done in a few weeks. I have to have a mylogram of my spine.

They make you lay flat on your stomach and do a spinal tap, remove all the spinal fluid replace it with a dye. Then they put you on a table that spins and goes up and down do make sure the dye is thru your whole spine. Then they put you in a cat scan, and when it is all done then remove the dye and put the spinal fluid back in, and then do the cat scan again

I heard it is not very fun

Post some of your pic.s I am sure someone can see something, i have looked at about a bizillion mri;s in the past few years

I made sure to get the earliest appointment available, usually around 6am, so I can fall asleep with that warm blanket they give you.

Knee isn't so bad because you just lay there. Shoulders are the worst because you have to sit in the most uncomfortable position while dealing with the pain

yeah it was a building and then there was like an exam room with a door outside and you went into a semi trailer! I was like WTF?

it gets the job done I guess. but its an MRI clinic and they had a portable one, I was confused.

I ran out of time and will upload some pics tomorrow. maybe you guys can make sense of them.

Based on what I can tell, especially with the third pic from the top, take a look at the dark line that is top of the femur, below the knee joint itself.

This dark line from the right appears to be uneven. Contrast that pic with the next pic below, look at approximately the same spot. That line appears to be in similiar condition but in the first picture it is a darker line which represents a greater gap

Ok nevermind. Your gonna die.

well had a doc visit today..

right and left knee both have bad/damaged cartilage and the right one has torn ACL.

the cartilage thing is why my knees go out often and easily, and the ACL i'm guess why it hurts right now.

neither is emergency but can be fixed orthoscopically I just need to schedule.

I am going to get a second opinion, not because I don't trust the guy, I belive in second opinions and I don't like how this guy schedules things.

appointment was at 7:20 got there at 7:05 was in waiting room until 8:20, got into exam room and waited until 9:13 when he finally came in, talked to me for 4 minutes, and then I left.

I live literally 3 minutes away.. its sort of ridiculous when you schedule that far ahead and still have to wait over 2 hours to be seen for a 4 min consult.

its not just a one time thing, the last time I saw him I waited around/over 2 hours as well.
