This might be a dumb question that i should prolly know the answer to but if i were to want and take the k10 in my aviatar photo and swap in a 14bff and d44 what what i need to change. I know that my bolt pattern is going to change, emergency brakes etc. more less wondering about my suspension, is it a direct swap or what???

Why would you want to swap in a D44? The 10bolt is just as strong! As far as the 14bolt in the rear that would be a good swap. In the late '80s and into the '90s, GM had some light-duty six-lug 3/4-ton trucks that came with a semifloating 9.5-inch ring-geared version of the standard 14-bolt axle with a 6x5.5 lug pattern that is a direct bolt in except u joint and E brake cable. Conversion U-joint is available Precision U-Joints, PN 447. This would be the easiest swap as everything is bolt in and go if you want to swap in a 14b ff I think you will need to move spring perches and change drive shaft length.

As long as you find the same year or close to it, should bolt in but your gonna need new u bolts and and conversion u-joint. Thats what i had to do when the owner before me put the 14ff in.
