Just another flat sandy MI forest road, engage your t-case and get a ticket. Not that you will need to engage it, just sayin.

Any idea on the history of this trail...i.e. why it is called the Sterling "Truck" trail?

I to have been curious about this one as it it quite close to my buddies place on Greenwood just north of there.

So basically it is just a unpaved road that a 2wd vehicle can travel?

Every 'truck trail' Ive seen in MI ends up being a sandy wide road. There's a few of them in the UP I've seen.

It was originally called "Chuck's Trail", after my great grandad, who lived there. The locals mis-pronounced it over the years, and the map maker assumed they were correct.
