Default getting off a chevy steering arm

the lift arm has only been on for about 3 years, its an 85 chevy half ton and im trying to find the easiest way to get the cone washers out. do i just have to heat the piss out of them with a torch or is there an easier trick?

spray them heat them then stick a screwdriver in thier split and beat them araound.
