Default places to get married???

Hi, it's Manda. We are getting married. We are not religious, don't belong to any church, and can't find a nice place to get married. Want it to be inside and beautiful near downriver michigan. Thanks for any ideas.

Vegas. Everything's a drive-thru there...including marriage.

Best of luck and congrats

Try searching wedding chapels...

The cobblestone manner in Auburn Hills is nice...Heard mixed reviews of the wedding chapel in Waterford.

Good luck and congratulations!

Many times you can find a reception hall with a nice enough facility to have the wedding as well.

I don't know of anywhere Down River but there are some interesting places in the city that could work such as the MoCAD, Belle Isle Casino or Yacht Club, the lobby of the Guardian Building, I believe the DIA and the Main Branch of the library allow weddings (and the historic Skillman branch might as well), the Detroit Athletic Club also has facilities (and a beautiful bowling alley in the basement that would be a fun reception area).

I know its not actually in MI, but I always thought the Fishermans(?) park in Windsor was would be a nice spot! Especially in the evening. Even the DMZ looks great (from across the river!)

Why no outside? My wife and I just got married at Dow Gardens in Midland. It was great. Oh, wait, you must be planning it now, so that puts the wedding sometime in the winter, huh? nevermind.

My wife and I got married at that Embassy Suites. We had the wedding in the atrium and then moved to the hall for the reception. It was very nice. We were both very happy with it. Good luck!

Wife and I were married at the Martha Mary Chapel at Greenfield Village.

Small place... The reception was right next door at the Eagle Tavern.
