96 S10 4cyl with 5spd manual 2wd

Will a 4.3l V6 bolt up to this trans by chance??

A T5 transmission is what you need. You can find them in any 4.3 liter s10 and also in 3rd gen camaros/firebirds.

idk what anyones talking about. the 2.2 has a totally different bellhousing pattern compared to the 4.3. your truck has the Nv1500. if you put a 4.3 in there your gonna want the 2wd Nv3500. your clutch linkage should be a direct swap as well.

the T5 was only offered with either the 2.2 up to 1995. or the 2.8 up to 1993. the T5 was offered in F-bodies with the 2.8 TBI 305, and TPI 305.

wrong 2.2 has the same as 4.3 they both used a 4l60e in later trucks
