Project 50/50 or maybe 60/40

Well I found this beauty on Craiglist. Left work to drive an hour to check it out. The kid said it had a blown trans. The thing would not move reguardless of what gear it was in. I did a quick look over and bought it for a deal. Came back with the trailer that night, fired it up, dropped it in 4x4 and drove it on the trailer. Laughed while is jaw dropped to the floor and his mom was asking WTF.

So know doubt it had a blown dana 35. Well I have a 8.8 in the garage already. This jeep has had a rough life just by looking around but she is getting better. So enough talking, time for pics.

Got all the body armor and bumpers swapped over. They need to get recoated or painted or powder coated because there is some rust coming through onthe seems. I opted for Monstaliner. It should be here tomorrow. I started cleaning up the edges and sanding any rust spots.

Oh ya and dropped on some 36" TSL SX.

Did a home made intake with some extra parts I had lying around.

Put in a Hurst shifter and what a difference. Just a little adjustment to do on it.

Put on the Rampage top and picked up a HP Dana 30. Getting it cleaned up and ready for paint and goodies. Ordering a truss kit and lready have 4.88 front and rear and the E-Locker for the front. The rear will keep the LS for now but might swap in some different clutch packs.

Think there is enough tools out? lol. My 2 year old likes to help.

Not cool. Why he could not order the right bolts is beyond me.

Pulled the dana 300 from the 97 and plan on putting it in soon.

Shifter package from Novak so I can customize there location.

Some fun lights.

New LED Tail Lights.

Weeeeelllllll,

I got alot done this week.

HP dana 30 is in with the 4.88 gears.
Front locker is in and wired up.
switch is located in the dash.
got the reverse lights hooked into trans.
Installed the Dana 300 with clocking ring.
Got 2 driveshafts coming that are the right length, thanks Tattons.
welded up some brackets for the rear brake lines to mount too.
Did the home made sway bar dicos.
mounted the CB, but still working on ant mount.
new sub for the console will be here today.
Also new 6.5 3 ways for the sound bar will be here also.
Got rid of the tcase drop. Looks much nicer
I whipped up a bracket for the 4x4 shifters, I love the way it turned out.
The pic does not have the shift knobs but they are perfect and work good.
Winch is on the way. Bought the Engo 9500. For $269 shipped might as well.
more switches ordered for the offroad lights and ?

And had to fix some really dumb stuff.

So long story short the jeep has been running hot since I bought and I had no heat. Put on the electric fan and that helped a bit but still not right. tuesday I had a few minutes so I installed a new water pump just because. I found it odd how easy the belt came off. But cont to install the new pump. So putting on the new belt I googled how the belt supposed to be on. And who would have guessed it the pump was spinning backward. Figures. What a Jack Wagon.

Now I have heat and the temp is great, staying below 190. I cant wait for the drive shafts do I can start driving it.

Head Lights?

Had to do some slight floor mods.

Speakers came in and got the sub in last night after work. It sounds nice. Just enough bass and doesn't take up any space. I like it.
