wal-mart by me and the one my wife works at haven't seen 9mm in 6 months. I only shoot CCI stingers last I saw they had plenty. The 500 round cheapo's always stovepipe and piss me off so I don't use them.

I use the cheapo golden bullets from wally world (the 500 pack) in my GSG-5. In 1000 rounds, Ive only ever had one misfire, and one stovepipe. And they were both back to back.

I prefer the federal copper plated 550 packs though. They dont turn my fingers black.

I've used federal and Winchester in the 550 round packs in my Savage 64 and 6 one out of every 10 stove piped my dad had same problem with his JC higgins. Guess mine want to be picky for some reason.

in the last 3 weeks I have been to 6 differnt walmarts, and 7 differnt meijers along the I-75 corrider from auburn hills up thru baycity and have not seen any cheepie bricks, or much of any "handgun" ammo.
my rugers, and my freinds AR .22 upper seem to shoot anything.

Have you checked Cabelas? Last time I was there looking at rimfire ammo, they had a ton of the bulk remington and winchester. They also had a huge stockpile of CCI mini-mags (my favorite rimfire ammo).

Also look at www.midwayusa.com and www.natchezss.com

I have ordered quite a bit of ammo from both places, and saved myself a lot of money by doing so. They have been running out of a lot of things lately with people doing all of the stockpiling, but they may have what you want.

Default finaly found some

finaly found some, bought 3,300 rds of .22lr. $14 for a box of 550.
FYI the midland walmart regulary gets 9mm ammo according to the clerk there, but they will sell out of 2 casses worth within a day.

Ok, I just went to the store recently since my .22lr is down to my last 500 rnds....and wow. Cabelas is out, o-u-t OUT of everything rimfire except for a few boxes of .17hmr. That entire aisle was bare.

This really sucks.....and needs to end soon. Im down to my last 150 rnds of 9mm, and have been trying not to shoot it (its hard).

The walmart in monroe has a shelf full of bricks and cheap value packs. I just bought 1500 rounds for $45. THIS is why I bought my GSG-5....a black rifle that shoots ammo at $0.03 a round.

I should be set for a few months.

Now if only I could find some cheap 9mm.........

Thanks. I have been searching stores, not online. Thats about what I was paying for winchester when stores still carried the value packs. I might have to order some.

I'm going to order me some 7.62 and .223 ammo soon. I keep blowing through 100 rounds a day so I kinda need to stock up.

I've seen a couple AR barrels that were destroyed by shooting nothing but Wolf.

But if its just some kind of cheap rifle or whatever, by all means, go for it. I shoot Wolf through my SKS.

Golden bullets do suck balls. But these are not. These are copper plated federal .22lr HV. I cant use thunderbolts in my GSG-5, I need a plated round.
