Default Sport Track mileage is poop ?

I have an 01 Sport Track and am tired of getting poop mileage Around 15mpg's city

I have a cold air intake, plugs wires, coil, fuel pump, and exhaust

Wish there was a way to get atleast 18 or so ?

It's also a 4.0L 4x4, auto, and I run syn oils in every fluid ?

Or am I just better off shipping this turd ?

I have a set of 3.27 gears for the 8.8, and an entire D35 diff assembly with 3.27s for the front, you could have on the cheap.

I was getting 21 mpg with my explorer sport

in the city depending on what gears he has it will hurt him more. i thought it had 4.10s, if so and you drop down to a 3.27 your mileage will be worse. the truck will be working harder to move, so unless its freeway mileage he wants i dont think it would benifit from 3.27s. thats just my opinion.

make sure the engine getting up to running temp and make sure the tstat is not sticking open. Itll think its cold out and dump more fuel. I had a few of these come in the shop recently after winter and the stat was jacked.

my sploder with a 5sp 2wd gets 17 or so on the highway with 3.27s. I think my stat maybe sticking since the temp acts all retarted.

Could the cold air intake be doing the same?
