Default Making a door latch?

Hey all
Was kinda thinking of making some tube doors for my zj. Was kinda wondering what it would look like and i got the time to try lol. The only part i was wondering about is what a good way to latch the door would be. It would not have to lock or anything but just latch and not rattle to beat hell.

The hook on the door is a u shape that the door latches onto on side of it.

Any suggestions? Also if you happen to have a latch in a junk door that would work let me know lol.

If its street driven I think you have to have OEM style latches. Not 100% sure tho

why would there be a law on the style of latch when you dont even necassarily need doors? how many Jeeps drive on the road with the doors removed?

for the latch, the easiest way would be to get some stock latches and bolt them to your tube doors....otherwise, there are about a million ways you could make something of your own, all a matter of what you want to do...

sandvipr has tube doors on his and he just cut a slot in the tube that went over the loop there and just put a pin in it. just add some foam rubber on the back side to keep it from rattling.
