Default **SOLD**1983 15th Anniversary Hurst/Olds For Sale**SOLD**

I have owned this car for 22 years and it's time to say goodbye to it

This is not a knock off, it's the real thing. It's lived in Michigan all it's life, but never seen salt or winter.

For sale:

1983 Hurst/ Olds
307 4 bbl
4:10 rear end
39,500 original miles
Rare Tan/Grey interior and carpeted trunk

Car is located in Romeo, Michigan

3001 of these were made. Less than 1500 are still registered. Most had the burgandy interior. I was told 250 had the tan interior.

I had wanted a new paint job and spent $8000 on paint, bumper trim, and misc seals for T-tops, etc.

Paint is flawless and has never seen rain. There is not a single dent anywhere.

Underside is very very clean. Engine could use a detail. Interior I am going to detail here soon.

I have the original steering wheel (It was too big and skinny for me to use)

It has a Sony head unit, with CD changer controls. A 10 disc changer and 2 amps are in the trunk.

Trunk is also carpet lined, which is a rare option.

These are the pics I had available, I will take more later and post.

I just had a mechanic go thru this car and replace anything that was bad or needed attention. It runs great.

I took it out last week and the headliner started to come loose

I will get that fixed, or deduct x amount for you to fix it.

This also comes with a custom fit car cover from Bevery Hills Motoring Accessories. It fits very well and it water repellent and treated. It is grey in color. Very thick also.

A damn nice car, always gets looks...but I want to sell.

$14,500

You can find cheaper ones, but not this nice.

tx

- Tim

Ehhh....not really.

I am not pressed to sell it.

I don't use it much, and have told myself sell it or use it. I start it every other Sunday, and that's about it.

I don't use it or sell it......so I have decided move on, and when I have time...get something else.

The Jeep is enough for now.

It's like glass down the side and never seen rain. It has to be the perfect day for me to use it, which I never seem to have time.

Perhaps someone else won't care, want to take it to shows, or whatever.

I don't want any trades, as I don't have the time for those either

Got ya. I was just curious because you seemed upset to sell it. Usually when that happens its a have to sell, not a want to sell.

I am kinda bummed to see it go, as it's very nice and rare.

But the realization is....sell it and move on. I want to die and say I owned several cars, vs the same few.

I will be fine

Less than 250 had the T-Tops as well as the grey interior.

I did not know that.

Most in general had T-tops, very few had a hard top.

In 84 they offered a moonroof that was rare too.

Porter that car is sweet...good luck with the sale. I'd buy it but that is more than I want to spend on something like that even though I think that is a fair price

Thanks

There are beat up ones, ones that need restoring, some that have been restored, or people that swapped a 350 or 455 into, made a bracket car, etc. for anywhere from $3500 to $8000, or more.

I have seen very very low mileage ones top $24K.

When I painted it, it was mint. I just wanted a nicer paint job

It was interesting that you posted this car.

One of the guys I work with was looking for this exact car. He had one when he was a teen that he bought brand new, beat to hell, and sold. We looked for two weeks and couldn't find a grey interior, t-top, 1983 anniversary. Most are indeed burgandy or lack the T-tops. My assumption is the T-Top ones are trash because they leaked like a sive if they weren't taken care of, obviously you know that.

Very sweet car.

Well tell yer buddy!

I had replaced the seals on the "leak and sqeak" option, as they get flattened and leak air and water.

I now always store it under the cover, with the T-tops removed, so they don't get flattened.

I painted it 19 years ago, only due to 2 spots the primer was showing thru on sunny days, very faintly.

It adds looks, but very little to the price.

My loss is your gain

I know what it's like to own something that is a part of you yet you feel the need to move on. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks John

Probably a lot like Warren Johnson's Olds:

How about you buy it and find out?
