Default Camping in the Huron National Forest.. Anybody done it?

I was thinking about going camping this weekend and sence im the last minute kind of person i pretty much know all spots are taken up so... i was thinking i would just wing it in the woods... Ive seen it done before but never tryed it.. Anyone have any advice on where to go?

The people i seen doing it where on the side of an ORV trail which i think wouldn't be that bad seeing how i could take my 4-wheeler.

I've seen a lot of folks "dispersed camping" in the state forest around/along the Gladwin ORV trail.

Just make sure you get your camp permit form the DNR.

Go to the DNR website and look up camping, then look for "Dispersed camping" (as mentioned.

The only problem you'll have is getting the permit in time; they have to mail it to you because it is on heavy cardstock (you can't print out a form or have it faxed).

I have some, but you would have to stop by my house and pick one up before Friday a.m.

some beautiful land in there. Find a map that details the rivers and streams and you'll find a few spots with elevation changes and pools forming... and you'll be the only person around

WARNING!!! Don't stop by ScOoTeRs house to pick something up. The only thing you'll be picking up is an STD.
