first trail ride I ever did I thought about 4 heeps were going to run eachother over because there was a puddle on a maintained road, sucks that you had to keep your tires dry.

I am ready, tools are loaded, extra fluids, MP3's are locked and loaded, truck is in tip top shape. All I need to do is fill the cooler with ice and pop and get some munchies! Looking at the 10 day weather forecast is says rain FRI and SAT before we go....hope we got some muddy trails

PS: I got an extra seat or two if anyone needs a ride.

Man down to 7 days to go... I'm ready too, and I am riding solo for this one so I have open seats as well. Of course my yj would be a little more of a ruff cramped ride than that of disturban burban.

Yo do know that it is kinda a no no to be riding on centerline road right now, as Trail Fanatic had said the DNR are passing out tickets free of charge.

if your running a full sized rig and don't want tree limb scratches its a no go, like I said before I run my Ram on these trails and haven't had any tree trunks in my doors yet... but then look at my truck too LOL...

scratches all over it.

if you still want to go put on a few heavy coats of wax, then just clean it and give it a good rub down when you get home.

What retreads did you get? Treadwright? If so what tread pattern did you choose? I am thinking of getting the OTR-S or the MTR look a likes...have not decided yet?

These do look mean though...lol!

How do they clean out the sticky mud? How do they do on the street? How would you compare them to the MTR tread design?

In my experience they just don't hold the mud, but they will dig fast and hard. The trip Sunday will be my 4th trip with them. On the street the howl like a wolf under a full moon, but on a MT tire its what I expected. the ride is nice, its just like any other tire, mine came on Bridge stone dualar carcasses. after shipping and mounting I paid $460 for a set of 4 265-75-16's that stand 31.9" tall, I don't think you can go wrong for the price and they handle really well in the mud.

I look forward to seeing how they do...maybe that will help me make up my mind. As of right now I am kinda leaning towards the MTR tread I dont know? I want a mud tire that will do well in deep snow yet not slide all over the place with light snow or rain...I was thinking of the MTR tread and have them siphoned. I have all terrains right now but they are just not aggressive enough for winter where I live.

The compound these things are made of does really well in the rain, I used to be able to make my truck slide all over on a wet road, but alas, its much harder to do now. And as for winter, that's what you have 4 wheel drive for

Did you get the ultra grip where they use walnut shells and glass in the rubber compound?
