I discovered truth in other places. I was always skeptical, and after reading the bible over three times (I know, nothing compared to you! ) it dawned on me, wtf am I doing.

Cover to cover I have done twice, so you have ME beat.

Did it dawn on you because you figured that Jesus never existed?

Where did you find truth outside?

Interesting article: http://www.answersingenesis.org/arti...a-missing-link

Worth considering, especially the fact that it does not resemble a human, but a modern day animal.

Quote:
Nothing about this fossil suggests it is anything other than an extinct, lemur-like creature. Its appearance is far from chimpanzee, let alone “apeman” or human.

Ida has opposable thumbs, which the ABC News article states are “similar to humans’ and unlike those found on other modern mammals” (i.e., implying that opposable thumbs are evidence of evolution). Yet lemurs today have opposable thumbs (like all primates). Likewise, Ida has nails, as do other primates.

I was raised as a catholic, and I did everything how I was told, but when I started discovering other options, I pretty much never went back.

I'm not "against" the church, or religion, and if it makes certain people happier, or they lead a better life, then that is awesome. It's just not for me.

And what do the scientific method and darwin tell you about the life of Jesus Christ?

I was also raised Catholic, but I walked away earlier than you did, like 15 years old. But a few years later I "heard" him call me by name, and should you find the same thing happen to you, watch out!

Truth is truth, lies are lies. It is not about whether someone gets a warm fuzzy, it is about whether God exists or if we are on our own in this world. If God DOES exist, then everything changes. If God does NOT exist, than everything changes. I surely do not want to live for a lie, and believe some crap about this life and this world.

So what exactly do you do with Jesus again? Do you say he was not God, and if so, what logical reasoning are you using?

Explained to me the probable way that myself and the earth came to be. Not something that seems extremely far fetched. Of course I could be wrong, but as of right now I choose to live my life for myself, as opposed to something that cannot be proven.

So you don't believe in the big bang?

I agree with you that you are choosing to live your life for no purpose greater than yourself.
