Default Where to camp "near" Silver Lake Dunes?

We stayed in Yogi Bear last year in Mears. There were too damn many children running around constantly, and it felt like a parking lot basically, with not enough trees.

It won't be on a super busy weekend, June 12, 13, 14. We will have 8 people on the site, 2 tents, probably 3 or 4 vehicles if possible.

Looking for something with 20 or 30 minutes of the dunes, but with nice camping. Decent priced would be cool.

Hide Away was good. State park campground is OK if you don't mind the 2nd worst bath houses in the state park system....hot water is so over rated.

I thought val du was gone? New family type place there now is what I heard.

I stayed at John Gurny in hart last year, seemed decent, not to far away, no clue on the bathhouses I had a trailer with living quarters so I never checked them out.

Silver lake resort and camping was full of kids as well. The place was clean and the bath house was very well kept. It needs more trees but you can see there are trying, iven that the place was previously an asparagus field. I would stay there again.
