From Reagan to artificial trees: Flint River clean up yields bounty of strange loot
by Elizabeth Shaw | The Flint Journal
Monday May 18, 2009, 12:17 PM

FLINT, Michigan -- Every year, volunteers around the county pitch in to help the Flint River Watershed Coalition clean up the Flint River for the summer season -- and every year, the clean-up crews pull in an odd assortment of junk.

Some of the random "loot" from the May 9 event hauled in by Youth Leadership Genesee and Leadership Genesee volunteers:

Two toilets, two mattresses, 19 tires, a Pepsi machine, an outboard motor, a door to a safe, an artificial Christmas tree, masses of phone books, cable tubing, construction debris, numerous prophylatics, one syringe, two dead deer, one dead dog and a douche bag.

The prize find of the day: a 1984 Ronald Reagan bumper sticker in mint condition.

The group filled at least 60 bags of garbage, said Leadership program director John Waldo.

AJ Hall was found in the bottom of a river?

That would explain not seeing any of his douchiness clogging up threads.
