Default lets talk Sand tires..

Ive got a pair of AMS Aerospeed Paddles http://www.amstires.com/productDetai...tegory_id=1295 for my 400EX only got one run of them before the engine locked up.. well i got a bug in my ass to fix the quad so im in the works of re-doing the frame and plastics and gonna build the engine a little.. Are the front sand tires worth it ?? what benefits over standard say holeshots Do they have ?? I see the concept but i cant justify spending the money another set of wheels/tires for the front..

was looking at matching AMS fronts and i see two with a rib and one smooth ... http://www.amstires.com/productGalle...tegory_id=1295 what benefit would the smooth give ??

Personally, i don't like the "floating" feeling of front sand tires. I feel like my old Kendas bit into the sand (also on a 400ex). I know people who won't go to the dunes without front sand tires but most of them have drag quads. Find someone with a set and try them out. From everything I have heard it comes down to personal preference
