I am really trying to get it done before summer is over. But it all comes down to time and money. Thanks for the positive comment!

Nice looking build.

Nothing wrong with a 305, hell a 305 HO out of a TPI Camaro is a pretty hot setup, I've even seen some TBI 305's run pretty strong when setup the right way.

There is no other automatic transmission I would put in anything (other than a big-block rig...4L80E) than a 700R4/4L60E....excellent choice.

Honestly the only critique I can offer (that's why people come here, right?) is why would you switch to a carb? You're giving up drivability, gas-mileage, off-road performance, remote start, and throttle response to avoid a little wiring? On that I call BOOO!

Keep up the good work.

I'd have to say the opposite. Very few rig builds are full of bs crap.. In fact I just browsed the ten recent postings and they're mostly all positive things..

Oh man I totally agree! I got my engine without the fuel injection . So I had a carb lying around *shrugs* and I stuck it on. Someday when I have some cash I will put a fuel injection system on it. But right now I just want to get it on the road/trail. If I find a good deal on a FI setup even a used one I would jump on it =) thanks for your comment.

Yeah, that's an excellent sample size for that statistical observation.

One nice thing about having the small block in there, is one it is in, there are tons of inexpensive easy to find engines =). So if I decide I don't like the 305, all the hard work is done, I can just yank it out and drop in a 327, 350, 383 stroker, 400 anything I want really. Thanks for your comment!

I considered this, thats not a bad idea. But would the fuel injection from a 350 be to much fuel for a 305?
