Default My 86 Bronco budget build

Its an 86, 302 4 barrel, auto, 4" lift. I have pictures but I can post em cause I'm a spammer apparently.

So far the known problems are:
Starter doesn't engage
no heat
rear window wont go down
only working gauges are the tach and speedo
and it really needs a radio and working windows
and a carb adjustment
But it runs and drive for the most part

To do list:
fix headlights
fix heater
fix gauges
install radio
fix horn
find out what is hissing
change oil, check fluids
fix power windows
fix tailgate
replace tire carrier
After winter:
replace flexplate
change all fluids

I think thats it so far. At least I hope so.

So far I installed a radio, fixed the flexplate, changed the fluids, and fixed the lights.

I also painted the rims an mounted a set of 33x12.50R15LT tires. I plan to get a set of 35 eventually.

And I fixed my tailgate. Now I can open it with the handle.

Last week I went and grabbed some new shift knobs.

its looks good... I had an 85 Bronco for about a week. It was in really bad shape but the motor ran great... Me and a couple friends pulled the motor and put it in a fox body...

How did you score a lifted bronco for $100?

judging by the flexplate he bought, I figure the one that came on the truck was broken and the bronco was a non-runner that was sitting, and someone wanted it gone.

nice work on the truck!

It ran, the starter bolt holes in the bellhousing were stripped out and the starter came loose and chewed up the teeth. I was able to drive it the 10 miles to my house.

Nice lookin project, looks like a beast!

For some reason I have always loved the look of those older dashboards.I wish Ford would have made the Bronco2 dash more like that.

wow great find! Nice progress as well.

I would however say Don't put a nice sound system in it. A nice setup will easily cost you around $800-1k+ and you could put that money into more useful things.

I already got the "nice" stereo for it. And if I sell it I can get $750 for it.
