I would say 80% of america could not tell the difference. I would say the 15% that could just learned about it in high school, and the other 5% is just good at retaining information :rofl:

Adverbs usually and in 'ly'

Quick English Lesson..

Verb= Describes an action.

Adverb= Describes HOW an action is performed.

Example: "John drove quickly to the store."

What did John do? (Verb)
He drove.

How did John drive? (Adverb)
He drove quickly.

A VERB describes nothing. It is simply the action. :miff:

But I got the idea:cool:

You'd just have your supplier write a spec on verbs and possible modifiers, and you'd glance through it and approve it..

Honestly, what % of the population actually knows or cares??? I could give a shit less about that stuff. I hated those classes in H.S. Speech writers and teachers would be about the only people who would need to know that crap anyway. One of the "4 year" classes in H.S. that should be optional depending on one's career path. Less time in English class and more time in the shop would have been fine with me!
