I just bought a pair after a while of himing and hawing over spending the money...You may beable to find them for cheaper on CL used but I wanted to get new ones last thing I wanted to do was spend 50 on a pair that leaked or in rough shape. I like mine so far and Im like you I may only use them a few times a year but I will have them for most my life so the 100 seemed justifiable. just my 2cents.

just buy a good set of waders and never worry about it again. 100$$ is pretty reasonable, most items you only use 1-2 times a year are much more expensive.

I agree with everyone else. I would rather spend the money upfront for a good pair of waders rather then a pair that don't work, making you go buy a better pair that do and you end up spending more than you wanted just to save a couple bucks.

When you are standing in 3' of water and your waders are filling up with cold water you will wish you bought good ones. Just watch sale ads. You can always find a good sale somewhere. I bought mine at Northwoods Outlet in Pinnconnig but that is to far for you.
