I think something like Silence would be cool.

Pictures are worth a 1,000 words. Who can make one silent..

Old crepid church on the hill at sundown.
Truck stuck in the mud looks like its been stuck for weeks.
Dirt road that seems to never end. Surrounded by leafless trees and a wrickity fence. ..

Get the Idear?

Default flipped image

I wasn't the one who suggested it, but flipping the image can be done a lot of ways. The quick and dirty way is to copy, rotate the copy and paste them back together in photoshop or some other processing program. You can then spend as much time as you want making the line between the images go away or not go away. Look for a image with the light from behind or in front of the subject. It gets a little weird if you have shadows going in two different directions. I have seen really cool things done with perspective and mirror images too.

I think this one would be fun and it would be great to get everybodies tips on how they did the flip

Wouldn't this be "Photo Manipulation"?

pwrwgn~thank you. That is a very cool picture, but I have to agree with zj gurl. If the photo workshop comes out, it gets to be less a photography contest, and more a computer skills contest. I like the "silence" idea.
And here's one more thought for you all, then I'll TRY to quit...........what about tastefull nudes? Strictly PG stuff. You don't really show "anything" but the person is obviously nude, just discreetly covered in certain areas.......
Think that one over, not only is it a challenge, but EVERYONE likes a nude (in this case almost nude) that's tastefully done. I've seen some great ones! But rather to share my ideas, and the poses I've seen~I'd love to see what people on this site come up with.

Thats why i was asking what he meant. We just did reflections so i figured he wasn't suggesting that again. Figured there wasn't much photo talent needed to chop an image in 2 and flip one side.

The flipping is easy. What tales skill is making it so you can't really tell it has been flipped. The swans took about ten minutes, but the horizon is a little off and the line needs work. The grass areas need to be edited so it doesn't quite look reflected. The trick is in picking a photo that you can work with.

We should do some photochop contests. I go on a site called worth1000.com and they have tons of photoshop contests. It's actually pretty fun but I think it would be a lot more fun to do them here.

I put my suggestion for a challenge in the wrong place, so I'm ing it here~moving water. Would be fun to see what everyone does with their shutter speeds on that. Also, I still think candle light. Let's narrow it down so the weather doesn't matter. After all, who doesn't have candles? Or just plain light........like car lights in the dark night. I still like the tastefull nudes. Stress on the TASTEFULL. How about~the MOON. Or just the night sky in general? Macro flowers. Macro bugs. Motion. I love the summer idea. It will be fun to see what summer makes different people think of.
