Default new challenge themes??

The contest on pbase this week is Particular Fortuitousness First they had to explain to most of us just what that was.

A couple of weeks ago someone started "I shot the Easter Bunny today"

I like the "life" this week. Anybody have any ideas?

reflections is a cool idea. I'm old school, don't know much about digital, can you control shutter speed on digitals? I use to do "painting with light" which is absolutely awesome, and a great contest subject, but you need to be able to control shutter speed, keep the shutter open for at least 15 seconds.........I always used 30. I love photography, but again, I know nothing of digital, I'm all SLR.

Actually, just a thought, but this IS a mud site. Why not have a contest for the best mud bog picture. Make it show motion. Give us mud flying in the air, tires turning, people laughing,............you get the idea.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to call this a "mud site", , is a mud site. This is a 4x4 site.

I stand corrected, sir. So lets do action 4X4 shots. That gives us even more oppertunities. Photography and mud are my 2 passions (2nd and 3rd after my man, of course) so I got carried away. Same idea. Action shots of 4X4's and/or 4X4 events. I stand by my suggestion....

Yes a dSLR is a digital version of the original SLR. The only difference is really menus and the media that the image is captured on. Film, vs CCD or CMOS.

I was watching a storm come in the other day...........sky is always a good theme. Endless options. How about just "people" in a crowd, or all alone ~ serenity ~ movement ~ water ~ moving water ~ I still like the 4X4 action. Painting with light.........awesome. Or were you done with suggestions? Like I said, photography is a passion of mine, I get carried away......sorry.

No thoughts on the mirror images, hmm? Well if no one likes that, how about pictures by candlelight. Of anything. The best one I've ever seen was an infant sleeping with just her sweet face lit by a small candle, the blanket over her sort of faded away into darkness. This was a great potrait!!
My own best attempt at candle lit picture was a still life, a framed wedding picture, on the table in front of it~2 wine glasses and a rose...........
Anyway, just another thought.

I think they are all great ideas. The mirror images one u were talking about...Do you mean splitting the image in the middle and flipping it, or are we talking reflections again?

I was thinking of reflections in a mirror. Of yourself or basically anything. Doesn't have to be a person. The splitting the image and flipping it.....I'm not familiar with that, but it sounds interesting. How is it done? (if you get time to explain it to me...)
