Default Spicer axle under 4x6

I have a small 4x6 utility trailer, Same width as a jeep and it has a VERY bent axle. I also have 3 straight d35s laying around.

Are there any laws against running a rear end under a trailer?

Yes I know im a redneck tool bag if I run a spicer rear end under a trailer.

The trailer will carry 1800lbs but the axle doesnt like it. I have a brandnnew surge brake unit I picked up at a garage sale that will give me trailer brakes.

I feel dirty just posting this....

I feel like a jackass for doing it and not building a proper axle however the 8.8 rebuild/swap has drained me this week and I need the trailer for work. Ill have to run it for a few weeks or a month untill I have some cash/motivation to build a proper axle.
