You beat me to a comment, Karen. I'm currently working on getting my '10a running, and set up to use as a plow vehicle for this coming season.

The Kaiser 6x6s in the auctions you posted are cool. They just had an article in Jp 1-2 months ago about one of these. It sure would suck with current fuel prices, though.

Yeah, but wouldn't it be cool to show up with your trail rig in the back of one of those things!!!

I've thought about it quite a bit. Have seen some decent ones go at the forest service auctions for reasonable prices.

Fuel is one thing, but the reality of driving them is another. 55mph, hot, and noisy. At least with the deuce I've driven.

I'd rather do like osme people, get a 24ft box van with something like a DT466, and have a camper front half/hauler back half.

That't not the price, just what they either say it's worth or how much they originally paid for it.

eventually i want to but one of those (the duece and a half, not the cj10a) for the axles to put under my J20. But the killer is that you have to figure out how to move the thing. I figure I'd probably pay more for hauling it somewhere than I'd pay to buy it.
