f150 radiator core support bushings

I went to change my radiator today, only to find out that the core support was gone... like literally the bottom half had completely rusted away.

So I went to remove it today, and it was a rather long process. The bushings for the radiator core support had to be cut off. The bolt broke off inside them. So now I have a few pieces of them both, so I need to replace them.

I called the dealership only to find out $89 a piece for the uppers and $20 for the lowers.

LMC has em for $29 a piece for the uppers, but this stil seems rather expensive for 2 bushings cause it is over $100 total for all 4.

Is there any other options?
Is there a cheap workaround?

I mean I can get a complete energy suspension kit for less than $100, but I am not sure if it comes with the bushings, since they are kinda unique.

open to ideas and suggestions

Chris

Typically, the Energy Suspension kits come with the body cab mount bushings, which include the core support mount bushings, but you'll have to come up with the other hardware (bolts/washers).

I had the same thing happen to my 92 ranger. The radiator support was rusted in half and the bushings were destroyed to the point that they were pushed through the frame mounts. I welded a large washer over the frame mount surface, and then installed hockey pucks, one upper, and one lower for the bushings. The pucks, bolts, washers cost me less than ten dollars. It's been 3 years since I fixed it, and the pucks are still holding fine with no cracking. If you have the funds, buy a proper kit for it. But for people like myself on a college student budget, the hockey puck fix works.
