Default Will a 4 O/D trans fit in a 3 speeds place

I am picking up a tracker this week, and my buddy has an o/d trans i can have for free, will it fit without major mods, and is it even worth doing? Also would the O/D one have different gears? It basically a whole sidekick, without a motor and I'm free to take whatever.

I understand the O/d trans is longer , only makes sense, their has been some talk on Zuki boards about different drive shaft lengths between 2&4 doors and ones with O/D trans in them also look on zukiworld TJefferson
