Default Sodapop's Rig

Here's a few shots of my rig.

Currently has:
3.5 BDS with 1" lift shackels and a 1"body lift
33 BFG M/T's
Custom front Bumper by SG Offroad
Custom Rear bumper with Poor Boy Fab Tire carrier
Stock Dana 30 in the front - yup, I carry spares
Ford 8.8 with discs and an Aussie in the back
TJ flares
CB, Hi-Lift, Fire Ext., Spare parts

What it's waiting for
SOA using either BDS 2" leaves or RE 1.5" SOA springs
I've already got Hi-steer knuckles and arms waiting & a rockcrusher diff cover to cover the 44's I'm putting in.
It's going to have waggy 44's but I may put in a 44 from a late 70's F-250 and shorten it up to waggy shaft lengths so i can have hi-pinion in the front. Donno yet. Then I will be putting in 4.88's, Detroit in the rear not sure what in the front yet.

Picture when it was little

Soda, I think I still owe you $10! I don't know why, but it just came to mind. Please, let me know if I do. Jeeps looking good man, glad that 8.8 is holding up.

Where'd you get the BDS kit from? I've been shopping around and buying from a vendor online+shipping is cheaper than local shops, wtf.

I think you do, I completely forgot about that. Wasn't it for a stock drop pitman during Moundsapalooza? You better pay up or I'm going to have to send out the collection agents! The 8.8 is holding up great, the last run I was on (wellsville) I watched a guy with a 35 climbing up sturgis blow almost all the teeth off on of his spiders not to mention several off each side gear. He had spare shafts but not spideys. . . I don't even worry about the rear. Thanks again for welding it up!

I bought my kit from a guy out near Ecorse. He was starting an internet business called Motor Cuty Mods and I bought only the second kit he had gotten. I know the internet site is no longer so he's prolly done. I wanna say I paid less than $650 with everything but that was a long time ago now so i really dont' remember. I really like the kit, the springs are great. They may have changed them a bit since I bought mine cuz I've seen some kits that don't flex as well as mine do but I'm not sure. I know that they are the ones making the 4 wheel drive hardware kits too. ANyway, not much help but good luck finding a kit.

In your current pics, why are you running MTR's on the front and cut boggers in the rear? Any significance to this?

Great looking rig after the new mods.

Mostly cuz I ran out of money.... I built the rig to run 37's but didn't have enough cash to buy them. I found 4 35" boggers but 2 were too thin. Then I planned on running TSL's up front so I would avoid the Bogger's lateral traction issues (better when grooved but still not great). Then I stumbled into 2 separate can't pass up deals for the MTR's. I got one brand new for $100 and the other brand new for $150. All in all I got the 35's for about $370 which is way better than the Over $1000 for 37's. When the bogger's are fried I hope to step into some Maxxis Creepy Crawlers - 37" flavor.

Bottom line, it looks a bit silly with Skinny MTRs in the front and Super Fat Boggers in the rear but it actually works very well. The boggers help push it through the goo and the MTR's help me steer. Other than some chunking, the boggers actually work very well in the rocks too.

Here's a few of the new version:
