never seen it on a gun but I had a friend that did it to his dash and it was pretty pricey

Yuk.

I prefer Dura-kote in OD green, just ordered some to finish up my .308.....it's going to be real hard to paint a brand new Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20x50, but I'm gonna do it....after a few beers.
