Freaking Mice

My jeep died. Figured it was the fuel pump. Long story short. After droping the tank we found a big mice nest on top of the tank. The little SOBs had chewed the wires. After cutting and splicing the wires the pump worked fine. On one hand it was a hell of a job the jeep put up a fight the whole way. But at least I saved $150 on the pump. Special thanks to the guy that worked on(fought with) the jeep all day.

How long had it been since you drove the Jeep? IOW, how long did the mice have to build their nest and chew on your wires?

I have only had the jeep a month. The guy I bought it from only owned it a few months . He really did not want to sell it but he had to have a truck. He bought it from a guy that had inherited it but didn't need it so he had it in storage. For how long I do not know.

you guys need to make a crop trap. they work great all the way up to squirrel sized rodents.

Get a 5 gallon bucket.
fill half way with water
pour in a layer of black oiled sunflower seeds.
make an easy access ramp so the little buggers can dive in.

the idea is the layer of seeds will look solid to them. they jump in and drown. my buddy had 8 in one day.
