Default What Axle should I Buy?

Ok, I had a little problem towing my utility trailer yesterday. A bearing went out and grooved the spindle, so Im looking at new axle. Its got a 3500 lbs axle under it now and not sure if I should upgrade. Its also a single axle, 6'4"x12" and I plan on doing a spring over on it so I can use my Tahoe to tow it if I want. Im not sure if i should put brakes on a single axle trailer. I will be using a 1999 Blazer/ TrailBrazer 4x4 or a 1995 Tahoe lifted 7 inch on 35's. I figured total weight I will see on it with quads is about 3250 lbs (Quads, trailer and gear)

upgrade to 5200, the additonal cost won't be enough to not do it. where do you plan to buy the new axle?

If it were me id get the 5200. Just make sure your bolt paterns are the same for the wheels or you will need new wheels too.
