MSgt. Russell T. Scroggins, USAF Ret.
Prattville and Valley AL, 26-27 March
Alabama has lost another hero: MSgt. Russell (Rusty) Timothy Scroggins,
USAF Retired, passed away on March 21 in Prattville. He was a 20+ year
veteran of the United States Air Force, and served in Desert Storm.
The family of MSgt. Scroggins has invited the PGR to stand in his honor as
they say goodbye, as MSgt. Scroggins himself expressed wishes that the PGR
be present at his funeral and burial.

About our Hero:
Serving as an Aircraft Armament Systems Specialist on F-15s (Weapons),
MSgt. Scroggins was trained at Lackland AFB Texas, and the Fighter Weapons
School at Lowry AFB, CO. His duty stations included Eglin AFB, FL, Tactical
Fighter Aggressor Sq. at Alconberry, England (F-5s), and the Pentagon.
After crossing into communications, he was stationed at Keesler AFB
Mississippi, Standards Systems Center, Gunter AFB as a member of the BAT
Team (Communications), in Saudi Arabia, and at several forward outpost
<script></script> points during Desert Storm and Desert Shield. When he returned stateside,
he was assigned to the Air University Communications Squadron at Maxwell
AFB where he retired with over 20 years of faithful service. He was a
native of Valley, AL, and a member of The Glynwood Baptist Church in
Prattville, AL. He was a Father, a Friend, and a Brother in both military
arms and in the Lord.
