Default 5th wheel camper to car trailer conversion

I was just curious would it be wise to transform an old 5th wheel camping trailer into a trailer that i could tow my Jeep on?

based on the burned out hulks I've seen in the junkyards over the years and the framing they use, I would say not very. I haven't seen a ton of them, but the ones I've seen don't look all that sturdy in comparison to a purpose built car hauler.

with reinforced frame it would work just fine for a jeep or other light cargo.

however, they usually use 3500# axles on those campers, soooo, it would be difficult to stay under the rating for the trailer with more than one vehicle on it.

the weight of the empty trailer and jeep would be coming up close on the rating for the axles. unless its a triple axle.
