I know I would not make a good congressman, which is why I don't run. But being you are so damn smart why are you a nobody?

Please stop arguing with inbred hillbillies.
I am 100% certain they do not teach business courses in the 11th grade at W Branch High......assuming he made it to the 11th grade

If only everyone in the world could be as smart and self indulged as the great Sol Goode, what a world we would have.

Coming from you, that is hilarious. I am currently serving on a commission that is appointed by the Governor.

I get really sick and tired of hearing dumbfucks like you bitch and moan about people getting what you don't have. YOU made the choice to be where you are in life. Suck it up and stop bitching. You really don't have any understanding of the AIG issue. Rather than wasting your time moaning and complaining, maybe you should actually try to understand what is going on. I know... That would be too hard for some of you simple hard workin' folk up north. Here's a little tidbit for you. We as a country are actually better off because of the people that got those $1M+ bonuses. Unfortunately, you and many people just like you aren't capable of understanding why.

No, I don't understand, can you explain?

If you look back I stated directly in my post that I did not know all of the facts surrounding AIG, what I was trying to explain to you (which appears went right over your head with VERY little resistance) is that there are people out there who get paid purely on the things that they do, not how long they work.

In all honesty there is a ton of possibly extremely shady things going on with AIG.

Do you understand what AIG does?

Irrespective of my opinions on executive compensation (it's gotten distorted) and the TARP bailouts (too much of a blank check without controls or oversight), the really disturbing aspect of this is the zeal with which the Pelosi/Reid/Obama gang developed and introduced legislation (at light speed) to introduce a punitive personal tax.

Think about it. They're advancing the concept of tax law specifically designed to relieve an individual of compensation earned for legal activities, because someone perceives that something about those activities wasn't in the interests of "the greater good".

How big a stretch is it then to imagine that same law redirected at other "not in the interests of the greater good" activities? An oil company made profits and paid bonuses? Super-tax the recipients!!! A drug company invented a cancer cure, and paid bonuses to the team that did it? Super-tax the recipients!!

All so they can attempt to deflect attention from the fact that they wrote specific protections for those bonuses into TARP, and to make sure none of the who signed it didn't read it, rushed the vote on it. If I wasn't convinced Pelosi/Reid/Obama were such bumblefcuks I would find the conspiracy nutjob angle scary, like it was all scripted to allow this BS legislation to be created.

You need skills that warrant such compensation.

Nothing like destroying the US Constitution. A tax that is levied against specific people or specific groups of people is unconstitutional as it is a punitive fine that is imposed without first being found guilty by the proper branch of the US government. Fuck Obama. And to think that all these whiny Democrats accused Bush of desecrating our constitution.

Of course they did, but when they do it it's fine.

I agree with Duffman, regardless of the circumstances I am not a fan of this extremely slippery slope we are starting to walk on.

You were appointed by Holy Moly, enough said. Surprised you would even admit that.

Watch this.

YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

My problem with the situation is, that the people that set up the second bottles for AIG. Are a lot of the same people now getting the bonuses. They failed in their job, building CDO's that were to progressive and now they are being rewarded for their errors with our tax dollars.
