Default Tips & Tricks section

We need to add a section where useful tips and how to's are moved to.
For example there was a discussion on rust removal from rusty parts, or a thread about removing oil stains from garage floor.

With the wonderful search engine we have, they are hard to find.

It would be better than starting new thread every time someone is looking for such info.

(yeah, I'm searching for a thread about cleaning oil stains from concrete.)

Make a paste of two parts hydrated lime powder and one part turpentine. Spread the paste over the surface of the oil stain covering a larger patch than the actual stain. Cover the stain with plastic sheeting to help prevent the turpentine from evaporating. Leave the paste on the stain overnight. Scrape off the paste and follow with a good scrubbing of powdered tide (laundry detergent) and water. You may need to repeat this if more of the stain leaches up to the surface of the concrete.

OR:

Sometimes spreading dry cement (powder) on the stain and letting it sit for a day or two then simply sweeping it up works.
