Default Pulled the trigger on a D200

Took advantage of Best Buy's $599 deal on a new D200, Ive always heard great things, anyone have any dislikes? I love my D40, but a really want the ability to be able to focus older lenses, plus the bigger sensor is a plus
Hopefully not a bad choice...

If its anything like the d300 that sounds like a great deal. My fiance has a d300 and a fuji s5 pro and loves the nikon. She paid 2k for the d300. Enjoy.

I would love a D300, but the $$ thing is not in the cards right now. I have also heard nice things about the 12 MP CMOS sensor in the D300.

Ya its her profession not a hobby so that justifies the cost. Her d100 was her starting digital camera when that first came out and she never had any issues with it..... you cant go wrong with nikon, fuji on the other hand........

The s5 is the only one i can speak on but she had to send it back for poor image quality issues and very very poor battery life It was non-useable and had a wedding in two weeks, so she got the d300. Now the s5 is a backup and the 300 is on the bracket.

Got my D200 yesterday. Best Buy FTW! Noticeable improvement right off the bat.

Yea I have no complaints at all. I love the quick on the fly controls over my D40. Makes everything so much easier to set vs. Going through menus and holding down buttons.

So far I think I have gotten around 250 shots on the brand new battery, and it had to be charged. I read to kill it completely for the first 4 or 5 charges.
