After seeing a picture of your wife, I now understand the motor swap.

Took the 2a to the muffler shop today. running true dual exhaust into flow master mufflers to get that "flowmaster" sound that I love.
Mean while, been working on the cj7 hijack. I call it the hijack because it hijacked the cj2a project temporarily. Just gotta put the oil pan and valve cover on the "new" motor bolt the engine and tranny together and drop in.

put some 31" bfgs on the 2a to see what it would look like.

Still got to do some fab work on the grill to house the radiator properly.

Update: waiting on a pilot bushing for the cj7 hijack jeep. Got the exhaust done 200.00 for labor. real tight fit, Ill get some pics up later for your amazement. Got a altinater today. checked out the starter situation, Currently I dont have one. muffler shop suggested using a mini starter (around 150.00) because of possible clearance issues and heat, the header is pretty close. so after measuring I determined a factory replacement starter should fit just fine. Heat might be an issue but ill fab up a heat shield to combat the heat. we'll see. Got to buy a starter, electric fan, a msd box and some other small items and it should run.

Run over to Sams Speed Shop on Laskey & Douglas because he has the whole line of DEI heat wraps, blankets and tape that would work great for a starter.

Update on the hijack jeep cj7: finally got my pilot bushing in. Mated the new manual trans to the engine and droped them both in today. should get it started tomorrow. Going from auto to manual 5 speed and was a bit worried how to mount bell crank to fire wall and trans to skid plate so that everything is alligned correctly. Had a look and was supprised to see mounting studs for the bell crank already there and predrilled holes for the transmission mounts. Resuming work on project pickle next week.

update but no pics. uncovered the 2a from its winter hibernation. got the radiator mounted today and worked on some clearance issues. ordering my ignition, e-fan and buying a starter in the next week or two. should be running soon.

I did work on the 2a over the week. got my fan, not very big (12") but is supposed to crank out 2,300 cfms. built a shroud for it, had to offset it so it could fit in front of water pump. I plan to go to a short pump eventually thatll give me some more room.

Got my ignition today as well.[IMG][/IMG] went to mount it on the fire wall but discovered various holes some from the factory (heater core), some from prev. owner. plan to patch over that tomorrow so i can properly mount the cdi box.

Heres a shot of my really tight dual exhaust.

should be running soon!

Saturday I routed my fuel lines, hooked up radiator and installed distributer. I also purchased a brake booster, master cylinder and pedal assembly out of a 92 xj. should fit nicely. waiting on shackle conversion kit so I can get rid of the C style shackles now hooked up to my leaf springs also waiting for my wire harness from EZ wire. Heres how the engine bay looks now.
