I know he paid like $5000 for a pair of war surplus engines. in the bio about the run I saw years back they lost the first one when they fired it up and it inhailed a screwdriver. they had to run back and get the second engine which hadn't been run in years and they dropped it in at the airforce base and got it running the day before the run

Also that is not a boat. That is a low flying aircraft lol
