Default 1999 windstar (fixxed)

ignition control mod went out, i replaced it, now it wont start, turn the key to start and the anti-theft light blinks fast and thats it, all the electrical system turns on with the key, i do not have the key with the mod in it, my 1999 is an early model so it was not equipted with it



help before i say and put 2.5 tons under it

had a friend come over with a snapon scanner its the PATS system i have to take it to the dealer and have the clear it his scanner doesnt have the add on for the anti theft system

how can it be the Pats system if your key doesn't have a chip in it?

For shits and grins. Disconnect the battery, Then reconnect it. Put the key in the door and lock then unlock it then try to start it again.

we had a expidition do the same thing. If you take the steering wheel and tilt it all the way down and then hit the steering wheel while trying to start it. Sounds weird buit it worked.

What module did you replace, the pcm?
Did you put a new or used one in?

i replace the ignition mod and the instrument cluster
its fixxed now the wire on the bottom of the key switch was loose
(the wire came out of the connecter)
so after that got fixxed the shop was able to reset the computer
