With most sponsorships, they have a few guidlines for you to follow, and some times a magazine feature, or going to one of their sponsored events is enough to full fill the obligation. Other times, simply advertising is enough. But I am sure you already knew that too.

I hope to see you out on the trails some time and we can all wheel and have fun supporting the sport, and get past all of this childish that you can't seem to let go of.

Thanks for your insight on my rig and my sponsors.
I have actually approached a few of the companies in your list of "sponsors" because I have been looking for all the help I can get with my build and I also plan to compete in one of the largest known series out there and a lot of those companies are even a title sponsor for the series. The ones I have approached are: Poly Performance, Currie, PSC, Wilwood and Advance Adapters. Of them the only discount I was able to get that was better than what anyone else sold things for was PSC so I'll be running PSC stickers. The discount is really only about 20% and by the time you compare that to the fact that the retailers are selling the same stuff at a 10% discount you find that you have "sponsors" that you owe things to over such a small amount of money that it isnt worth the hassle in the first place. Now on the flip side, companies would love to have you "sponsored" by them when you pay 5% less than retail and also have to run their stickers, it's a win-win situation for them. I think that's where you come in, you want anyone who is willing to give you a sticker to be a sponsor while I would rather have a few sponsors as possible with the small discounts so I dont owe 10 companies each $50 worth of publicity....

I'm not going to be running an Advance Adapters sticker, wanna see who paid less for their atlas?

If you were a little more humble about your site I dont think people would be so hard on you. $0.02

I don't give a shit if Fat Tony has sponsors, gave blow jobs for discounted parts or whatever. Reality is this your still a piece of shit, no matter how cool, how big your grand is or how much money you have in it. With what you consider wheeling, many here could out wheel you in a shopping cart.

It doesn't matter how or why, or what I have to do to full fill the obligation. Some of the sponsors just do it because it of it's uniqueness. From an advertising perspective, it does get a lot of attention, and they can see that. Whether it's all positive or not, it's all still attention and their name is out there the whole time.

And since there is only a small percentage of people on GL4x4 who bash the rig, or myself, it doesn't out weigh the people who may see, might like it, and because they saw a sponsors name or part, go and buy it.

I am sure that sums that up.

Thanks for the support Ben.

Looks like I'm on my way to muffler man.

I didn't think this was a competition. It seems like you are volunteering to be my accountant and want to compare notes.

On a serious note, What's the "largest known series" you are planning on competing in?

As for the humble comment, whether I posted or some one else posted it, the result would have been the same. I posted that it was finally finished, all of you brought up the sponsors and other bashing issues. It wasn't to promote, or be an attention whore. Part of the site has the build ups on it as well, which is what everyone has been asking for. Pics of the build.

I hope you get some help from the sponsors you need, and your build up goes good, and I can't wait to see what you are building. Keep us posted.

again its not hard to get free products. i have a whole shit load of psc products for my build i didnt pay for along with other companys.

ill venture to say i got my 4 speed atlas for less than you. unless you have a 2 speed.

now i dont know anthony and im not here to defend him at all but i do not find it hard to believe he has free or deeply discounted products on his zj. if you know who you are talking to when you need parts its real easy to get huge price breaks.

bryce im not picking a fight, just trying to make a point that free parts or damn close to it can be had if you know how to go about getting them.

you people bitch about anything. lots of people get sponsorships. it helps advertize for offroad companys and help build our sport. WHY BITCH ABOUT THAT!. All you have to do is call a company and kiss there ass telling them how you can help get there business out to more people. It is there choice to give you shit. Im not defending anthony i really could care less. i still will bet 80% of the people that bitch even know who he is or have ever met him. all that people have is, that he rolled his XJ on the highway 7 years ago because a part fell off, and no one was hurt! and him blowing a train horn at a jeep show 3 or 4 years ago. that is all i ever read about

he made a website for his build up and to provide links to the companies that have helped in the process. if that honestly pisses you off, you seriously need a hobby.

To be 100% honest, I never asked for build pics.

Therefore, not "everyone" asked for them.
