Default Need your input

I have a 78 F150 that I would like to be able to move from where I keep to down the road (about 8-10 min drive) to my buddys trails. As of now the truck isnt street legal. It also doesnt have plates or insurance. I was wondering what the cheapest way to legally be able to drive to and from. I understand I would have to most likely at least make it street legal (lights and mirrors). But could I put a slow moving vehicle sign on it and have it treated like a tractor on the road or something like that.

Im hoping someone here has already been through this and can give me advice. Just getting sick of trailering it...

Thats exactly what I was wondering. Could I do either of those things... legally?

If I can't do it legally I might as well just drive it normal
