Default Can anyone recommend a decent CB antennae that doesn't cost a fortune?

I'm looking for something relatively inexpensive since I'm out of work right now. I have the CB, the antennae is a POS.

Thanks!

With CB antenna's you get what you pay for. Personally I like the 4' firesticks with the adjustable screw on top. They're getting harder to find locally but many of the truck stops have them.

I like the cobra $40 or so special with a genuine firestick flexible antenna on a spring mount, that combo has worked well for me and has een maintenance free for years. I got it all (cb, cable antenna and spring mount) for around $100 which is a good deal for what you're getting.

I have the firstikII and its awesome. Its a bit short as the tip sits flush with the top of my soft top. But when I finally get around to building my rear tire carrier I'll build a mount off the center.

Its nice to have the ability to adjust it. Make sure you have someone adjust it for you if you do not have the proper tools.

I bought mine from Electronic Connection on the corner of Ford Rd. and Newburgh Rd. They will also tune it for you I beleive.
