Default Bummed

My wife and I like to target shoot air rifles in our basement. She has a Daisy 901 and it does a pretty good job for having the cheapest possible sights and 4X "scope".

I figured for her birthday, I'd get her a 1000+ fps break-barrel rifle and some misc accessories from pyramydair.com. I also had them replace the spring inside the gun with an air piston for a bit better accuracy (no spring "twang" to stabilize before the pellet leaves the barrel).

1st off, FedEx claimed the package was on the truck for delivery yesterday at 7:30 am. but was updated at 6:05 pm saying delivery was aborted because of bad weather. I had worked from home yesterday to sign for the package. So, anyway, drive 60 miles to Lansing to get the gun and bring it home. Present it to my wife and right out of the box, the gun refuses to fire.

Seems the "gunsmiths" that replaced the innards of the gun didn't bother to test their handiwork after they finished.

I think they lost my business.

We have a pellet trap - and we only shoot lead. You NEVER fire a BB indoors (actually, we never fire them at all).

We've got 10 and 15 yard targets inside.

Heck yeah they do. The biggest problem I have is that I need the airgun to be light. My wife's 901 is 3.6 lb. and the rifle I just bought her is5.3 lb. - Most of the bargain cave stuff is 8lb. and up, but I agree, there are deals to be had!
She wants a light gun - she can lift up the gun I'm borrowing from a friend, but cannot hold it steady (it is an older HW97K with a competition target shooting walnut stock and and a 3x9x50 scope - goes about 12.5 lb).
