ok well thanks ill try that in the morning and also im new on the FI shit i have always worked on carb motors and only a couple wires this is a big difference so all i know it is a 1.6 97 cubic inch and it is a 94 other than that i have changed everything but the pump and the regulator but i will have to see

Odds are one of those 2 is your answer. The more likely of the two, in my opinion, is the pump. Good luck and happy tracing.

sure its not the computer, they will do all kinds of goofy things with fuel when they go bad,, also could very well go bad from one day to the next.
you can get a computer on ebay, a company on there repairs them with a warranty for around 100 bucks, if it ends up not being the problem they will let u return it.

Ive had the exact problem & since Im cheep & didnt feel like messing w/it I usesd some oil pressure guage plastic tube & hooked it to a can of starting fluid in the glove box & drilled a hole in the air cleaner for the other end started every time w/out opening hood not fixed but worked until I sold it & I hear its still working like that

hey do u got the name and info on the computer my tracker runs great but it wont start unless u use starter fluid still so it might very well be the computer so......
