It is a trail ride up on the Island that MSG put on for 6 years. In the early years before the park the ran the trails on the Island. The last couple of years we have still run the trails on the Island but we also ran groups through Turtle Ridge. The we would have a dinner and raffle off door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Just like what has been done at Sno-fari.

Not gonna do you much good now since you have it for sale and are now putting paddles on your 5

I would go again because I had a good time there when I was in the club. With it being so close to the wedding end we are on a spending freeze to help pay for it I can not make it.

In about the year 2000 myself and another club member went on a jamboree at Drummond Island we had a great time. At that time the trails were much rockier and was immpossible to carry any speed. As we went through the trails we talked about putting together a run that would be a GLFWDA event. After countless trips back to the island to map trails and make good local connections we held the first DOA in 2001. The first couple years were great then the trails seemed to be getting closed like the clay pits. Which was a nasty clay pit that pushed everyones ability. The other trail which has changed alot is going to Marble head which is one of the states only rock faces on state trail. Its also the reason my scrambler is the way it is today! Drummond offers some of the best wheeling for moderatly built rigs I think theres something for everyone.
The dinners and door prizes have always been good but, for us at MSG its always been about promoting wheeling in a family enviroment. Trying our best to tread lighly to preserve the trails for our familys to enjoy!
Newbies of all sizes and ability welcome.
I'm looking forward to running the new sections of trail I am familiar with that area.
The club meeting is Feb 15 to vote on if we hold this event again so keep posting.
Thanks Indy
